Siapa sangka Game God Of War mampu meraih penghargaan sebagai Game of The Year. Tahun 2018 telah dilewati dengan Games yang luar biasa dan mampu mencuri perhatian para gamers seperti God Of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, dan masih banyak yang lainnya.
New York Videogame Critics Circle memberikan seluruh penghargaan kepada industri games terbaik.
Dalam acara tersebut, New York Videogame Critics Circle mengumumkan pemenang pada acara The New York Game Awards 2019. Hasilnya, God Of War mendapatkan penghargaan tertinggi "Big Apple Award" untuk Game of the Year. Untuk games lainnya seperti Dead Cells, Florence, Tetris Effect, Red Dead Redemption 2 mendapatkan hadiah lainnya.
